Flexur by Sound Workshop is an expressive synthesizer that brings the emotional gestures of acoustic instruments into the world of electronic instruments. Imagine a Cello crossed with a MiniMoog on the spice fields of Arrakis. Come to the Wonderville patio to play with Flexur yourself.

Wonderville is hosting its 2nd annual Alt.Ctrl Festival! Taking place on Sunday August 30th, this festival features games and performances that use alternative inputs.

Mars is an intermedia sound artist and DJ from Brooklyn. In Mars’ work, you may hear vertiginous glissandi, smeared shards of drum machine patterns, and intervening voices of activists and scholars, touching on topics such as the AIDS crisis (PLAGUE!, 2021), climate catastrophe (Detuning, 2025-2026) or the fallout of extractivism (shred the means, 2019). Voluntary Hazing

Formed in San José, CA, Voluntary Hazing is a moderately large and dorky ska/pop-punk band (although they occasionally stumble into disco, acoustic and other alternative sounds). The group began as friends in the San José State University marching band. Each member has been classically trained, but they decided to change things up and play rock music with their horns. Expect both angst and antics.
