But the prophecy also speaks of hope, of a great hero wielding a Shining Emblem and restoring balance to our world. The time of prophecy is nigh and that hero....is YOU!
This is the Saga of the Shining Emblem, a one-of-a-kind Improvised story-telling experience, heavily influenced by the Role Playing greats of old. Each performance, one lucky audience member is chosen to be The Hero. They are then guided through an adventure by one actor serving as narrator and all other NPCs they encounter on their journey. Their quest? To find the Shining Emblem, an object of unlimited power capable of granting any wish. How they find it (or if they even bother to quest at all) is totally up to them! Its an unbelievable, unforgettable, unimaginable adventure all made up on the spot! All set to a live score!
June is Pride Month! That means The Saga of the Shining Emblem will feature an all-star line-up of queer performers, all to raise money for the Trevor Project!

Sometimes wistful, sometimes rocking, always captivating. Awful Christine ( @awfulchristine ) are an up-and-coming four piece with song writing chops beyond their years. Their dynamism leads to shifting alt rock epics that ebb and flow as often as they jolt and shock. Finally, Nonsense ( @nonsenseintl ) take on the role of the wild card for the evening. The duo have been making music for years, and their chemistry is captured on stage through saxophone and guitar improvisation and tightly woven art pop hits. This is not a show to miss.

The first @them.handz project, it's main goal is to create safe and fun settings that allow people who may not walk into a typical gym setting the chance to leave the room with knowledge, techniques, and practices that are responsive to their interests. (You can always let the host know what you want to learn if it's not on the program). It is a place to be curious. It's an experience made so unfamiliar practitioners can find practices that make practice familiar for them. And it is Very VERY for Thems! And you don't have to sweat unless you want to.
Core techniques are programmed for each event. Expect to learn a few forms and moves to root yourself in. Then expect games you can take along to practice that hold and hone what you know. The program is responsive to the venue. So expect standing techniques and bring friends you would like to learn or work with. Neon Dojo is rooted in practical responsiveness, so again, SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. This is about what YOU want to learn, and no position or technique is a monolith. There will also be a brief forum to support this as well as to share the content and habits of mind that help make well rounded practices in broader life. The goal is to build and preserve real skills in community. Your body shouldn't be a tool that confuses you. Especially if the state wants to pretend you're confused.
So, above alllllll the dojo is place to start some serious safety practices in a fun way.

Saison Zero is a monthly tabletop role play game meetup dedicated to introducing folks to games other than just D&D. Light on rules, rich in flavor. This month we’ve got open tables for Thirsty Sword Lesbians (which is pretty much what is sounds like) and Agon (a spear and sandals game deep in greek myth). NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. This is a beginner friendly event. Rulebooks and other resources will be available. We encourage you to bring dice if you have them and something to write with, but we’ll have extras!

Toby Chernesky and DJ Guilty Pleasures are excited to produce their third event in their video game series with Wonderville! Toby Chernesky, a recent NYU graduate, is a singer, producer, and actor known for his work in the NYC cabaret scene. His most notable shows include “A Gay’s Dream: Broadway’s Leading Ladies with a Gender-Bent Twist!” at 54 Below in February, as well as “The LGBTQ+ Lifeline” at The Green Room 42 in August, a fundraiser cabaret that raised over $2000 for the Trevor Project. In drag, he is up-and-coming NYC drag-thing Toast (a.ka. Toby Chernesky), known for their creative, community-driven themed shows and powerhouse falsetto vocals! DJ Guilty Pleasures is an NYC-based DJ, known for his sickening house mixes and his frequent work at The Ritz Bar & Lounge in Manhattan. He has recently worked with Frankie Grande for his album release party and the Broadway production of Death Becomes Her cast recording release party.

Ursa and the Major Key is an indie/psychedelic rock band from Plattsburgh, NY. The band fuses influences from classic artists including The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and The Band, as well as modern artists like Whitney, Beach Fossils, and Levitation Room.
They have built up an extensive show history in the Adirondacks and beyond over the past couple of years, performing in regional staple venues such as the Strand Center for the Arts, the Waterhole, Songs at Mirror Lake, and the Upper Jay Art Center, as well as sharing the stage with acts like Midnight North, Sam Greenfield, Adam Ezra Group, Klark Sound, Sugaray Rayford, and The Burkharts. They have also performed for an estimated 5,000 attendees at the City of Plattsburgh's total solar eclipse viewing party, which led to the band being featured in The New York Times.

Frances De Vargas is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her songs blend folk music, country, and alternative rock influences with a 21st-century indie rock tilt. Formed in San José, CA, Voluntary Hazing is a moderately large and dorky ska/pop-punk band (although they occasionally stumble into disco, acoustic and other alternative sounds). The group began as friends in the San José State University marching band. Each member has been classically trained, but they decided to change things up and play rock music with their horns. Hey slime bag, Scrapeboard is at Wonderville every month this summer! Challenge yourself or a friend to an arcade game that uses a real skateboard deck and metal floor pads as the controller. Take on a boss rush where you perform combos using the skatedeck and floor pads to block sword attacks from Tony Hawk’s hardest hitters, including Kool Man, an alien, and a Nintendo Switch.
Scrape into summer on June 2nd with free play all night and a beginner-friendly tournament. We will have three Scrapeboards set up. Two full sized, along with a mini one for finger boards. Scrape as hard as you can, you won't be able to break our newest platforms.

We will project your gameplay behind some of the best local djs Brooklyn has to offer. With music ranging from hard dubstep to soft art pop, every game will have it's own score.
