This action packed open-format night has got you covered with a wide array of dance music and a live performance from Brooklyn’s favorite arcade club. Even though it’s November we know it’s still Halloweekend so if you have a costume you still need to get off, come as you are.
‘89 the Brainchild is a retired legendary hitman who has settled into a quiet and mundane life as a underground rapper. However, his peaceful life is disrupted when former enemies and colleagues from his hitman days come seeking revenge. To protect his family and loved ones, 89 must use his exceptional combat skills to face off against a variety of adversaries while trying to maintain his hip hop facade.
Petal Rose is a NY-native, Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and organizer attempting to nurture the community’s heartbeat. By playing in symphony, she melds her favorite sounds to create a frenetic yet joyous vibe, bolstered by memorable melodies and dynamic drums. Legend has it, she’s got bitches doing cartwheels in the club. If that doesn’t convince you, nothing will.
HAZ is a Bronx-based open-format DJ. He’s been djing since about 10 years old and spins anything from hip-hop, R&B, Jersey Club, Baltimore Club, EDM, and House. Whether it’s a BBQ, a Nightclub, or a festival, HAZ is prepared for any occasion, making him a perfect addition to the Club: ??? stage.
Cisne is a New York City artist and producer who uses nightlife as a civic art form. She uses sound, images, and the ritual of movement to help redistribute resources. Through curation and design, she transforms dance floors into engines for mutual aid, creating the scores for memory and future building. As a co-organizer of Body Hack and creator of “World Town,” she has raised substantial funds for trans-led and grassroots community efforts through marathon events that braid vendor fairs, screenings, and DJ sets into multi-day social sculptures. Her work centers pay equity, transparency, and leaving tools behind.
After dabbling in music journalism and college radio, Brooklyn-based EEVEE opened a new chapter in her love for music and started DJing in spring 2023. They like to mix their Southern and Caribbean roots with a variety of Black genres: think New Orleans bounce, alternative R&B, Southern Crunk, Jersey Club, ghettotech, bouyon, Miami Bass, and disco. Her mission is to keep you moving on the dance floor. Expect to hear Solange, DnB from a SEGA soundtrack, and Flo Milli on the same night. Be sure to shake some ass on the dancefloor in order to feel the EEVEElution!
Club: ??? curator and resident Kweku is a Ghanaian DJ born and raised in Queens with a flair for blending punchy club kicks with percussive Afro-diasporic sounds. He weaves genres like afrohouse, amapiano, batida, Brazilian funk, club, gqom, and more into lively sets that have moved dance floors in his two homes of NYC and Accra. In addition to Club: ??? he’s the founder of Beats without Borders, a party series with a monthly show on Half Moon Radio which serves as a space for the exploration of global Black music.

Come out to Wonderville in the afternoon of November 15th for a special curator's tour led by co-owner Mark Kleeb! Mark will go through the arcade and talk about the games and developers behind them. We'll open up some of the cabinets and take a look at how the controls are programmed and how the cabinets are constructed, followed by an hour of freeplay so attendees can play the games at their leisure.

What is Scatterbrain Magazine, you ask?
We are a NYC and Montreal-based arts and culture collective publishing print magazines twice a year, one for each city. Our core is always interviews with local brands and creatives, rounded out with writing, artwork, and fun extras from our in-house team. From intimate events like “Performative Reading” and cyanotype workshops in Montreal, to big nights like the Issue 4 launch at Substance Skatepark (NY) and the Issue 5 launch at the Société des Arts Technologiques (MTL), we are building unique creative communities in both cities.

Springboard returns to Wonderville (1186 Broadway, NY) Tuesday October 14th! From 8pm-1am we will have techno sets from the talented Ben Zo, Steinbock19, and Thuumprr. Vibes will be dark, hypnotic, and groovy. The event is 21+. Entry is free, however, there is a suggested donation of $10 in order to help support the artists. QR codes will be printed throughout the venue.
Springboard is a queer based party that is focused on inclusion, community, and a shared love for experimental dance music. There is absolutely zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind. Springboard gives a platform to those artists who are pushing the boundaries sonically and are playing the type of avant-garde music that encourages ourselves to stay open to all genres. Just like an actual springboard that propels us forward, an open-minded community allows artists to be their truest selves and play the sounds that will also expand our notions of what dance music is and what it can become. Toby Chernesky is a singer, producer, and actor known for his work in the NYC cabaret scene, most notably for “A Gay’s Dream: Broadway’s Leading Ladies with a Gender-Bent Twist!” at 54 Below in February. He is also known to perform in drag under the name Toast, having cohosted with RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Tatianna, and the recent sold-out Chappell Roan Tribute show at House of Independents in Asbury Park. DJ Guilty Pleasures is an NYC-based DJ, having recently worked with Frankie Grande for his album release party and the Broadway production of Death Becomes Her cast recording release party. He works all across Manhattan and Brooklyn and will be traveling soon to work for Bermuda Pride.

In this edition of 2HR GAMEJAM OF THE MONTH CLUB participants will learn the fundamentals of modern doom mapping with Ultimate Doom Builder (UDB), SLADE3, and DSDA-DOOM (all resources will be provided)
Windows 10/11 strongly recommended unless you’re good at porting PC apps, we will be targeting the DSDA-DOOM sourceport with the MBF21 complevel (so no ZDOOM ACS/UDMF!)
