Wonderville is a bar, arcade, and event space. It is run by a group of artists interested in cultivating the indie game scene in New York and connecting it to other types of media.

The event space hosts events like live music, dance parties, playtest nights, workshops, tournaments, and other kinds of new media performances. We have a stage that is 12 feet wide by 8 feet deep. The capacity in the event space is approximately 75-100 people standing, 15-20 people seated at tables.

Accessibility

Wonderville is on the ground floor so there are no stairs or ramps to get inside the venue. The front door is standard width as well as the entrance to the arcade/venue. Access to the backyard is slightly narrower due to how the building is constructed so some persons may have difficulty getting into the backyard area. There is also a ramp to access the rear deck. All of our bathrooms are gender neutral, and the first stall is wheelchair accessible.

The stage does not have a ramp, but we could provide a step stool to access the performance area.

Some of the arcades in the performance space use strobe lighting effects, and performances may involve bright lighting or loud music. We sell earplugs behind the bar if you need them. The sounds from the arcade games can be muted during performances (please ask the sound engineer) but we do not turn the games off.

Most events are standing room, but we can provide seating upon request.

In the arcade/performance space there are no tables to sit down, but we do have spaces in the bar. There are also large picnic tables in the backyard, weather permitting. The backyard is a quiet space with no screens or loud music.

We do not have a coat check, but there is a coat rack just inside the front door that patrons may use at their own risk.

If you need to report an issue during your time at Wonderville, please speak to the bartender or the security guard. We are committed to your safety and well being!

Please contact hello@wonderville.nyc if you have any specific accessibility questions!
