Local NYC queer and trans artists Toska, Reya Flowers, Effee Hawk, and The Canvas Collective present a night of pop and electronica. Just in time for pride!
Effee Hawk, the host, is an experimental dance artist. Their sound ranges from dark ambient, to bops that’ll make you sway. Songs are programmed within their small yet powerful keyboard, which they have mastered over the years. Their music is hypnotizing, lyrics are out right confessions, and it will pull you right in. Their performance will be accompanied by live visuals done by July Brown (Crush Fund).
Self described as “danceable, devastating”, Toska is a pop-rock-electro duo with guitar, and with vocals that are transcendent. Their stage looks could kill. Confessional lyrics, flowy melodies, and epic sounds. (The lead singer also does tattoos on the side!)
Reya Flowers is an electric alternative music artist. Her sound ranges from rock, to emo, to pop, revealing her to be an artist of great talent and range. Her vocals? Ethereal, and her sound layering? Impeccable.
The Canvas Collective is an alt pop-rock band based out of Brooklyn, New York. They are proud to write and release songs that are very personal to them, with lyrical topics such as mental health awareness, interpersonal struggles, and queer/trans identity. They are currently playing shows in Brooklyn and working on an album that is heavily influenced by electronic music, combining that sound with guitar, bass and singing/screaming. Mandy Kessler on vocals/synth, Kris Wong on guitar, and Violet Sepe on bass.
